I have been offline for a while, ingesting all the impeachment goings-on. What I’m discovering is that I am tired of it…the lies, the rhetoric, the nastiness, the degradation of others, the torpedoing of reputations, the name-calling, thé corruption…all of it. Just impeach him already!
I have heard all of the garbage spewed from the Rethuglican sewer-mouths, and I am tired of hearing it. They have not mounted any defense of trump, because there is no defense. All they can offer is complaint, complaint, complaint against the Democrats. If his own party, who thinks he is God Incarnate, can’t mount a defense of his actions, then why the debate? If his own party can’t defend him, and they think he is Jesus Christ himself, why talk? Just do it?
All the things he has done to create chaos in our country are horrible. But I have an especial dislike of trump. As close as I can come to hatred without actually hating. I rage against trump because he is a sexual predator. And this is Christmastime, the time of year I am in severe distress. Someone, a long, long time ago, ruined a little girl’s Christmas by molesting her in front of a Christmas tree. The trumps of the world, the sexual predators, deserve a special place in Dante’s hell, in the ring of ice surrounding Satan himself.
As a Catholic, I can’t justify saying I hate trump. But my révulsion to him is as close to hatred as I dare come. He deserves far worse than just impeachment. But the Jesus that his followers purport him to be would urge forgiveness. After calling them a brood of vipers. After driving them from the Temple with a whip.
Yes, the Jesus I follow would urge forgiveness. But I just can’t. I have heard all the things he has been accused of. I believe he did every last one of them. And I believe that he will continue to do them after the House has impeached him and the Senate has acquitted him. Only worse.
We, the people, are the ones who can stop him. We, the People. Those who sent him to the White House can evict him from the White House. But, only if we vote. We need to vote in numbers, to quote him, « that nobody has ever seen before. ». We need to keep up the protest marches. Get out there for the Women’s Marches in your area. Write to your lawmakers about legislation that is important to you. Write letters to him. Tell him how you never voted for him and cannot wait u til he is out of office. Let him know that, contrary to what he says, that you do not think he is the greatest. If you have a story that happened to you because of trump’s policies, let your lawmakers know about it.. Let them know what you have suffered because of trump. If you can afford to, give a few dollars to the campaigns of trump’s opponents. Participate in fund-raising projects for the Resistance. Pray. Write a blog. Write letters to the editors of your local and national newspapers. Do what you can to let the trumpsters know that you want him out. And, next November, VOTE! Not voting is a vote for trump and the Rethuglicans. If you want them out, VOTE!
